We had an emergency request to repair an Archimedes high lift screw pump for a client last month.
The screw bottom bearing had failed allowing the screw to drop into the trough causing damage to the screw and the screed.
Client delivered the screw to our workshop in Keighley where we prepared the the scrolls removing all worn and damaged material, prepared the existing scrolls and welded 200mm edge strips onto the original screw thus bringing it back to standard diameter. We also added 5mm screeding strip to allow the trough to be re screeded back on site.
The work was turned round in a short period of time so the client could reduce over pumping costs dramatically.

Based in the heart of pipe making country Keighley Bronte Engineering Services Ltd are now producing both FBE coated pipe work and stainless steel pipe work, all fabricated to EN1090 in house and coatings available in REG31a approved.
Size ranges from DN80 through to DN1400 with all special large diameter flanges made to order and machined where required.
Special requests catered for and available alone off pieces.
Large range of wall starters available made to request and bespoke sizes.
All heavy duty pipe supports also made to order and galvanised to give estimated 20plus years rather than the mechanic type cut to length alternative which will corrode and fail because of the coating removal whilst fitting on site
